My Favorite Books

  • Book Review: The Romance of Grace by Jim McNeely III
I received a copy of this ebook free of charge from cross focused reviews for the purpose of an honest review. This book is incredible and life changing. It is based on this question, What if God sees us the way a man sees a woman he is infatuated with, and His main question is not how to make us moral but rather how to get us to fall in love with Him? First I will go into the technical
  • Book Reveiw: Everything by Mary DeMuth
I received a copy of this book free of charge from the publisher for the sake of review. This book was written by one of my favorite authors so I am already going in biased. I love the way Mary DeMuth uses words in a way that is intelligent yet easily readable. This book was no different. You can be sure to feel like you are visiting with her over coffee as you read this. You can really get a
  • Book Review: I Exalt You, O God by Jerry Bridges
I received a copy of this ebook free of charge from the publisher for the purpose of review. I love Jerry Bridges. I have loved everything I have read by him. This book again was not a disappointment. Bridges has a way of writing that God uses to make your heart burst out in spontaneous worship. When we have our eyes on Jesus we do grow in Him just pondering His great majesty and love for us.
  • Book Review: Days of Jesus by Jim Jackson
I received a copy of this ebook free of charge from the author for the purpose of review. This is an amazing resource and one I highly reccomend you check out! It is put together in an easy to read and understand devotional format. It is longer than the typical devotional because it is so rich and deep in explaining the Scriptures. Each day of the 31 days of study walks you through portions
  • Book Review: Father Hunger by Douglas Wilson
I received a copy of this book free of charge from the publisher for the sake of review. I was interested in this book entitled, Father Hunger, because it hits a very personal place in my life and heart. Not only am I raising a child whose father is absent (though my husband is a good stand in) I have worked with at risk children who have had absent fathers over the years as well. It is a
  • Book Review: 1000 days: The Ministry of Christ by Jonathan Falwell
I received a free copy of this book from the publisher for the purpose of review. 1000 days is a book that focuses on the last three years of Christ's life on earth which numbers around 1000 days. Looking at the life of Christ with this view in mind really puts it in a perspective for me regarding the importance of time and meaningful ministry. These 1000 days were the number of days that
  • Book Review: Dug Down Deep by Joshua Harris
I received a copy of this book free of charge from the publisher for the purpose of review. This was the best book on doctrine that I have ever read. It was written in a simple and straight forward way. I liked this the best about this book. Most books I read lack the ability to speak on the level where most people live. This book got it right. I would feel ok recommending or giving this to
  • Book Review: The Gospel For Real Life by Jerry Bridges
I received a copy of this book free of charge from the publisher for the purpose of review. This book was a great book. I have really been loving everything written by Jerry Bridges. This book was no different. He writes with a style that is easy to understand and that moves you. I am better off for reading this book. It is definately one that God used to draw me closer to Him. It has given me
  • Book Review: If God is Good, Faith in the Midst of suffering and evil by Randy Alcorn
I received a copy of this book free of charge from the publisher for the purpose of review. It will be very difficult for me to find the proper words to give this book the proper credit it deserves. It was a very long book, 494 pages in all. As much as I enjoy reading I do not think besides the Bible I have ever made it through a book that long. With that said I want to express my heartfelt
  • Book Review - Good Girl's Don't Have to Dress Bad by Shari Braendel
I received a copy of this book at no charge from the publisher for the purpose of review. I have been so blessed by this book. I never in my life thought that I would like a book on fashion. However this book won me over. It is a perfect balance of spiritual and physical on this subject matter. It was written like a letter from one friend to another. Any woman who picks this up will leave

  • Book Review - Radical by David Platt
A copy of this book was provided to me free of charge for the purpose of review for the publisher.Radical is an amazing book. It is by far one on the top of my book favorites list of all time. For me, that statement is huge. I cannot stand reading a book that is not life altering. I feel it is a waste of my time. Our lives are so short. So that is where I am coming from when I write these reviews
  • Such a Blessing to Me
I am not much of a devotional reader. But I will give you an exception to that. I have found two incredible devotional books that have blessed me beyond what I could even hope or imagine. They are Jesus Calling by Sarah Young and His Princess Warrior, Love Letters for Strength from Your Lord by Sheri Rose Shepherd. If you are looking for a good simple but deep devotional book to get your day

This book was provided free of charge from the publisher for review. It is scheduled to be released on December 22nd, 2009.All I can really open with is, "Wow!" Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
